Morton - Catherine N. Suman, 89, of Morton, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton following her battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Henry to Frank and Nellie (Harrington) Kennedy. She married Joseph S. Suman on May 27, 1941, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2005. She also was preceded in death by one son, Steven Suman in 1991, and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, Terry Suman of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Celestine Kennedy of Peoria.
Catherine was a member of the Air Force Mothers Club 18 in Peoria from 1966 to 1970.
She also was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton.
