Groveland - Luise G. Vaupel, 100, of Groveland, died at 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 31, 1909, in Perlach, Germany, to Peter Sr. and Katharine (Michel) Guengerich. She married Edward G. Vaupel on June 22, 1941, in Hannibal, Mo. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1975. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and one nephew.
Surviving are five nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, Luise was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin and the Tazewell County Farm Bureau.
