Morton - Lois M. Stamm, 82, of East Peoria, formerly of Morton, died at 3:24 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, in the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Virgil and Orilla Mosley. She married Russel Stamm in July 1945 in Eureka. He preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1995. She also was preceded in death by one grandson.
Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Kenagy of Morton and Deon (Tom) Coovert of Washington; one son, Gary (Nancee) Stamm of Washington; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Lois had worked in canning department at Libby’s in Eureka; as an assembler at Admiral in Bloomington and later as a bookkeeper at Massey-Ferguson Tractor in Eureka.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington.
Lois was best remembered as a great mom and grandma.
