Morton - Doris A. Geyer, 88, of Morton, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Peoria to Patrick and Emelie (LaPlante) Mooney. She married James Baldwin on Aug. 16, 1939, in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1983. She later married Harry Geyer on Nov. 12, 1988, in Joliet. He preceded her in death in 2007. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Fay F. Mooney.
Surviving are her stepson, Charles (Barbara) Geyer of Chicago; two granddaughters, Jorie Geyer and Kay Nolan; and four nephews, Patrick (Jessica) Mooney of Morton, Lawrence (Diana) Mooney of Washington, Francis (Mickey) Mooney of East Peoria and Daniel (Maxine) Mooney of Chippewa Falls, Wis.
Doris was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton and its Altar & Rosary Society.
