Morton - E. Jolene Kaufman, 72, of Morton, died at 4:55 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born July 15, 1937, in Kirksville, Mo., to Jack and Dorothy (Miles) Forke. She married Gerald D. Kaufman on Dec. 22, 1956, in Morton.
Surviving are her husband of Morton; three daughters, Jeri Lynn Kaufman of St. Louis, Mo., Kelly Jo Davidson of Washington and Diana (Darrin) Sparks of Troy, Ill.; one grandson, Devon Sparks of Troy; one granddaughter, Natasha Sparks of Troy; one brother, Jerry (Edwina) Forke of Independence, Mo.; and one half sister, Jackie (Warren) Locke of Tiffin, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jolene was employed as a Spanish teacher at Morton High School for 26 years. She also taught at Green Valley High School and Delavan High School.
She was a member of Deer Creek United Methodist Church.
