Morton - Linda J. Cap, 63, of Morton, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010. She died peacefully in her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Joliet, Ill., to Harry and Clara (Merlo) Holm. She married Al Cap on Aug. 3, 1968, in Joliet. Surviving are her husband of Morton; three daughters, Sarah (Jason) Williams, Leah (Roger) Collins and Rose (Robert) Haslett, all of Morton; two sons, Adam (Jodyna) Cap of Ottawa, Ill., and Nathan (Kari) Cap of Morton; 11 grandchildren, Olivia, Chloe, Samuel and Ian Williams, Austin, Aaron, Reese and Lynde Collins, Reuben Haslett, Kailey and Avery Cap; and three brothers, David Krahl of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., Harry Holm of Plainfield, Ill., and Joseph Holm of DeKalb, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents. Linda was an ordained minister with Someone To Care International Ministries, Inc. located in Bonifay, Fla. She was a part of Walking in the Spirit Prison Ministry in Peoria and led a weekly Bible study. Linda was caring and compassionate to those in need. She loved her family and Jesus very much. Cremation will be accorded following visitation. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
