Morton - Robert L. Jackson, 65, of Morton, died at 11 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Morton Terrace Care Center.
He was born May 19, 1945, in Litchfield, Ill., to Alfred L. and Irene L. (Kayser) Jackson. He married Irene Lundeen in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Jackson of Morton; children, Cindy (Mark) Leesman, Chris Jackson, Brenda Dassel, Larry (Jennifer) Lundeen, Lori Lundeen and Michelle Rushton; grandchildren, Jessica and Dustin Leesman, Jessica (David) Cagle, Jeanette (Kevin) David, Tyler Lundeen, Kyle and Korrina Lundeen, Kaliegh Rushton, Caroline Lundeen; two great-grandchildren, Kiersten David and Logan Cagle; his mother, Irene L. Jackson; and two brothers, Ken (Barb) Jackson of Katy, Texas, and Tom (Julie) Jackson of Atlanta, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Bryan Jackson; his father and one brother, Bill Jackson.
Robert was employed at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years, retiring as a timekeeper from Morton in 1993.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974 in East Peoria.
Robert’s love in life was car racing, especially the time he spent with Car 75.
