Morton - R. Jack Worms, 82, of Morton, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 2010, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
He was born Feb. 11, 1928, in Peoria to Frank W. Sr. and Clara (Jyland) Worms. He married Barbara Kelley on Oct. 26, 1952, in East Peoria. She preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2009.
Surviving are one son, Douglas Worms of East Peoria; one daughter, Debbie (Mark) Hanson of Peoria; two granddaughters, Kelley Hanson and Lindsey Hanson; and one brother, Dr. Frank W. Worms, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was a 1960 graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, where he received his BS in Business Administration.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Jack worked at Caterpillar Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 1985 as a price analyst.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Washington. He was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria.
He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Fourever Fours Model A Club. He and his wife were members of the Morton Whirl-A-Ways square dance club.
